Privacy
Your details, and what we do with them.
June Day Productions (JuneDay), Knysna, South Africa, is responsible for the personal information collected through this site. We collect only what we need to reply to you and to understand how the site is used, and we follow the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- When you send a message or a brief: your name, email address, company (if you give it), your message or brief, the topic you chose and, for a brief, the conversation with June that shaped it.
- When you book a call: your name, email address, company (if you give it) and anything you tell us about what you’d like to discuss. The call is added to our Google Calendar, which sends you the invitation.
- When you browse: on jdp.co.za we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Why we use it
To reply to you about what you asked, to prepare for a conversation you booked, and to improve the site. We don’t add you to a mailing list or send newsletters, and we don’t sell or share your details for marketing.
Who processes it for us
- HubSpot keeps messages, briefs and booking details, so we can reply, prepare and keep a record of the conversation.
- Anthropic runs June. What you type to June is sent to Anthropic’s Claude model to write June’s replies. June is an AI, and says so. Please leave out anything confidential.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a message, brief or booking comes from a person, not a bot.
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps short-lived technical logs.
- Google provides the booking calendar and the analytics described above.
Some of these services store information outside South Africa. We use them only where they protect it to a standard comparable to POPIA.
In your browser
While you work on a brief, it is kept in your browser’s session storage so it survives a page reload. It is cleared when you close the tab or send the brief.
How long we keep it
We keep messages, briefs and booking details for two years after we were last in touch, then delete them. If we go on to work together, project records are kept under that agreement instead. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Our information officer is Tracy Hagerman. Write to her at hello@juneday.co.za and she’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Regulator.
