Sustainable Seas Trust (SST) tasked us with the production of training videos for their marine litter monitoring course.
The Sustainable Seas Trust (SST) is a non-profit organization based in South Africa that works towards the conservation and sustainable use of oceans and coastal resources. They conduct research, educate the public, and partner with various stakeholders to promote ocean conservation and sustainability.
The project’s initial 20 training videos were later extended to include an additional 20 videos as the client was thrilled with the quality of work delivered.
We went to work conceptualising custom graphics and animation before diving into video production and editing for an engaging and visually appealing result.
The training videos cover a diverse range of topics related to marine litter monitoring, such as the sources and types of marine litter the impact of litter on marine ecosystems, monitoring techniques, expert interviews, and effective management strategies.
The videos were designed to be incorporated into the SST’s e-learning system, accessible through the African Waste Academy website. As such, JuneDay ensured that the videos were self-contained and comprehensive, requiring no additional training materials.
The production was a resounding success, exceeding the client’s expectations. The client was thrilled with the result, expressing their satisfaction with the quality of the videos and the engaging content.
Overall, the project was a significant contribution towards addressing the issue of marine litter, and JuneDay is proud to have played a role in equipping individuals and organizations with the knowledge and tools necessary to monitor and manage marine litter effectively.
